Supply Chain

Purchasing

Procurement from requisition through approval, purchase order, receipt and supplier bill. Approval routing is configured per document type and value, so spend control is a setting rather than a custom build.

What Purchasing covers

  • Requisitions

Internal requests routed to the right approver.

  • Purchase orders

    Orders against agreed supplier pricing.

  • Approval routing

Thresholds by document type, value and department.

  • Three-way matching

Order, receipt and bill reconciled before payment.

  • Supplier records

Terms, price lists, contacts and history.

  • Landed cost

Freight and duty distributed onto item cost.

How Purchasing works

Spend control without a parallel process

Approval limits are configured against the document, so a request above a threshold cannot proceed without the right sign-off. Nothing depends on someone remembering to forward an email.

  • Limits by value, department and document type
  • Delegation for absence
  • Full history of who approved what and when

Match before you pay

The supplier bill is matched against the order and the goods receipt. Discrepancies hold rather than posting, so overbilling is caught before payment rather than during an audit.

What changes when you run it

  • Spend approved against a policy, not an inbox
  • Overbilling caught before payment, not after
  • Supplier pricing applied consistently
  • Landed cost reflected in the item cost that drives margin
